North American Indigenous Games

NAIG was established in 1971 with a vision to improve the quality of life for indigenous people by supporting self-determined sports and cultural activities that encourage equal access to participate in the social, cultural and spiritual fabric of the territory they reside in that respect distinctiveness. The NAIG event is held every 3 years in various location across North America that fosters cultural unity, pride, and lifelong friendships after the games end. The 2020 NAIG was set to be hosted in Halifax, Nova Scotia in Partnership with Millbrook First Nation July 12-18, 2020 however has been postponed until next summer.
